     I wanted to play with the open hand/palms gesture being about openness and ‘nothing to hide’  but as it’s the back of him almost  nothing of the artist is revealed. 

    I emphasized all the creases in his shirt and the shadows along arms and hands etc to reflect his mark making in his artwork. So when SheOne worked on the print surface it worked as one piece and the portrait had the strenght to support his strong graphic style.
